LP #72: floral stamps & SSS: Anything Goes

Hello.
I am sharing a card I made for Limelight Papercrafts LAST challenge #72 Floral Stamps.  Mandy had her third child and has decided to discontinue the challenges.
I wish her much happiness with her growing family!
I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes

The first challenge was to use floral stamps with the sketch below.
I was inspired by a thread at Two Peas where people were sharing their teacher appreciation ideas.  The saying on this card is from a post by "Cori". She shared that she gave a flower and tag/card with this saying. How cute!
This will be paired with a flower and is for our little guy's preschool teacher.

I stamped the flowers on companion papers and used different gems for the centers.

Here's the cute little sketch from Limelight Papercrafts:

Supplies:
Stamps:  flowers by Autumn Leave (I think); "Harold's ABC" by Lawn Fawn; "thank you" by Hero Arts
Ink: Memento (my favorite!) and Distress in Weathered Wood
Papers: Amy Butler for K&Company "AB Lotus" pad and cardstock
Other: MS Circle Cutter for 4" circle base, "George" cart 3 1/2" circle, scallop scissors, baker's twine by The Twinery, gems, pop dots, MS butterfly punch

Thanks for looking!

Limelight #68: bday card

Hello.
Here's a birthday card made from Basic Grey's "Cupcake" collection.
The design is inspired by Limelight Papercrafts Sketch challenge which also requested pearls.
Dug out the paper crimper to make the cupcake "wrapper".
I cut the "icing" out of the BG sprinkle paper by hand and added Stickles.

Here's the Sketch.
I replaced the large butterfly with the cupcake and the smaller ones with the balloons.

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Grey "Cupcake"
Misc: Balloon punch, floss, Stickles, ribbon, pearls, paper crimper, MS circle cutter

Thanks for coming by!

Limelight #67: bday card

Not much crafting time this week, but I was glad to complete one card.  I checked the calendar and we have 11 birthdays in March and April in the family.  Good time to make a birthday card or two or eleven!   I used the Sketch for the Limelight Papercrafts Challenge #67: Use String.  I picked up the Basic Grey paper pack "Cupcake" for $5 at Michaels and paired it with a small Basic Grey stamp set I picked up at Big Lots for .50!

I stamped the cupcake and hat, colored them with pencils, cut them out and decorated them with Stickles, dimensional paint (frosting) and glossy accents (candle stick).
I wrapped the top panel with MS baker's twine.

My 50 cent stamp score:

Here's the Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Grey "Cupcake"
Stamps: Basic Grey
Ink: Memento black and Stampin up red
Other: stickles, Prismacolor pencils, liquid dimensional paint, tag, MS baker's twine, glossy accents

This card can be for a male or female any age.  Lovin' this paper pack!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Limelight #66: sketch w/red

Howdy.
Made a card today for the Limelight Papercrafts sketch Challenge #66 using RED.  I checked my calendar to see the upcoming birthdays and noticed there are several male b-days coming up in the family so that set the tone.  Once again, I've used a star on a male card.  I had all the parts mostly done and then set it aside to fold some laundry and then it came to me...
WIRE!  I love when that happens.
You step away from a project for a bit and sometimes an idea just pops in your mind.
Cool.  So, I dug out the MM wire that I've had for 10 yrs and played.
Here's the result:

Here's what the original frame sticker looked like.
I cut the middle out with a craft knife and replaced it with the BG paper.

Here's the Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: BG "Oliver"
Ink: Stazon and Faded Jeans Distress
Star: Use "George" cart and cut it at 2 1/2" three times for depth
Misc: floss, Recollections glittered frame, MM wire

Thanks for coming by.
If you'd like a chance to WIN 8 white Heidi Swapp damask stickers,

Limelight Sketch #64 chipboard: male b-day card

For this Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Challenge incorporating chipboard,  I decided to make a male birthday card so I manned up today!
I shopped my stash for anything manly and found a 3" chipboard circle, my ignored edge distressor, rugged twine, star brads, and sports paper.

I painted the chipboard circle with brown paint and then adhered the 3" circle cut on the Cricut. The letters were cut from the "Cuttin' Up" cartridge.  I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the chipboard for the star brads.  It's one of those tools I don't use often, but I am glad I have it!

The Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: We R Memory Keepers "MVP", cardstock
Stamp: Stampin Up
Ink: Distress in Vintage Photo, Memento
Cricut: George and Cuttin Up
Other: chipboard circle from stash, twine, star brads, Tim Holtz edge distressor, Crop-a-Dile

Limelight Sketch #64/Baby card

Greetings.  So pretty outside today.  Beautiful snowflakes are falling outside my window.  ahhhhhhh....
Managed to get my son's cold so I am scooping them up for a nap in a bit.  The little guy won't nap anymore (even when he REALLY needs one) unless I lay with him or sit in his room with him.  Sometimes we cuddle up in mom and dad's bed with some books, read/look for a bit and fall asleep.  They call it a nap, I call it cuddle time while I still can with them.  The boys are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2.

The card I am sharing was inspired by Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Challenge #64 shown below.  This is a baby card for church.  I am slowly making cards for the children's director to send out to families with new babies.

The "ribbon" is fuzzy with wire inside of it which was rather thick.  To get the top to adhere to the card, I decided to just pop that layer.  I really like the dimension it gave!
Gives it some extra substance.

Here's the Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: BG "Olivia" and cardstock from HL
Cricut: outer Butterfly "Storybook"; circle "George"
Ribbon: Hobby Lobby
Stamp: Hero Arts
Ink:  Distress Peeled Paint
Punches: EK Success "Donut chain", MS "butterfly"

Thanks for stopping by today.  Now to find some little boys for a nap..... -Kelly

Limelight Papercrafts Sketch 62

Hello!
Today's card was inspired by Limelight Papercraft's challenge 62 this week.
The challenge is to use the sketch below with some SPARKLE!    I decided to make a card for my brother's birthday.  He's a New Years Eve baby!  I added glitter to the polka dot patterned paper used for the star and the inside balloon cut from the paper.
A touch of glitz, but still manly!

Thanks for looking!  -Kelly
