PS9: One

Here's a card I made for the current Poppy Sketch Challenge #9.
I just got that punchinella gold "ribbon" from Neat and Tangled.
How cool is that stuff?  I bought it in black and white also.

The "one" letters are made with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.
Wee bit of glitter swiped on the letters.

This was a card I made for a one-year-old sweet girl.

Thanks for stopping by.
Can' wait to share some personal good news with ya!
Stay tuned...

CIC270: Lawn Fawn Birthday card

I was going to be literal and use balloons, but then I saw the speech bubble stamps and dies in my stash by Lawn Fawn and thought they'd be fun to use!

Been a while since I had made a shaped card so off I went...
I used the circle stacking dies and scallop stacking dies by Lawn Fawn for the card base.
The bubble/bird stamps and dies are also by Lawn Fawn.

The inks are by Simon Says Stamp (the Cotton Candy ink is easier to see in real life).
I colored the birdies with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers and
added a wee bit of Stickles to their cute little rumps.

CTS85: More Christmas in July

Played along with the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #85.
I went with a Christmas theme because I scrapped Christmas 2013
and had everything out at the time.

The sticker is from Echo Park.
The swipe and splatters are from a stamp set by Karen Baker called "Typically Teen"
Inks are Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

Here's the Sketch:

It's Christmas in July in my craft room this week.
I scrapped the boys' Christmas 2013 photos and then decided to keep all the extra papers out and make some stuff.

I started with a Christmas card.
The papers are Echo Park.
The cute tag and gift stamp are by Lawn Fawn.
The sentiment is Hero Arts

I am entering this into the following challenges:

I also worked on gift card holders this week.

Card Drive for Emma: Update

Quick Update: LAST CALL

Hi crafty friends!
I am thrilled to report that I have
received over 259 cards for the Card Drive!
(There were more cards, but they were asked not to be counted).

What a great response!

I know at least one person is mailing cards this week.
I will draw prizes and announce winners on Monday, July 28.
That gives a wee bit more time to mail cards.

Please realize that once I close the PO box, the post office will forward the mail to my personal address for a few weeks so even though cards may not count for prizes,
they will still be received and given to Emma!

See the link for card info, but some info is copied below:

All cards can be mailed to the following address:
Kelly Bertram
P.O Box 58388
Cincinnati, Ohio 45258

I am offering PRIZES to my favorite stores:

PS8: Hey There!!

Sharing a card I made for the new Poppy Sketches Challenge #8.
I love how this one turned out!
It's ok to pat yourself on the back every now and then, eh?

I stamped the Simon Says Stamp flower set on white paper first.
Then I stamped and cut out the Lawn Fawn Polaroid stamp.

I positioned the Polaroid over the flower pattern until I
liked it and then trimmed it up to match.

Haven't used a flower embellie in a LONG time.
Found the black one in the stash. Black flower???
Better than the two attempts to color a butterfly veneer. Couldn't get it the "right" color!

 Supplies
Stamps:  Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp
Inks: Distress and Simon Says Stamp
Papers: Simon Says Stamp and AC
Enamel dots: homemade!!

Moxie Fab Word Die Challenge

Having a blast in the craft room this week.
Saw that the Moxie Fab blog was having a "Wonderful Word Challenge
to use die cut words so I decided to play along.
Looks great in real life.

The Simon Says Stamp "you" was cut 3 times, layered, covered in Glossy Accents and then I sprinkled glittery black embossing powder on it.  (saw this on J. McGuire's blog)

The Light bulb stamp and sentiment are by Lawn Fawn.  It was a Studio Calico limited edition set that I won in a giveaway.  I covered the bulb in gloss before adhering it.

Supplies
Stamps & Journaling Panel: Lawn Fawn
Die Cut Word & yellow card stock: Simon Says Stamp
Patterned Paper: AC
Markers: Spectrum Noir

Thanks for visiting.
I look forward to browsing the entries and seeing different ways to use word dies.

STS24: masculine card

Played along with the new Seize the Sketch Challenge and made a masculine card.
I intend to use it as a birthday card.

The papers and stickers are all leftovers from the Simple Stories "Urban Traveler"
line I had used for our vacation last year.

The green panel was cut using the Lawn Fawn stitched journaling die.
The little red letter stickers are from Cosmo Cricket.

Thanks for Visiting,
Kelly

CFC#133: (hashtag)cards

Had fun playing along with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge.
If you watch Jimmy Fallon, then you would know about his #hashtag games.
I think they are hysterical and made cards inspired by the game.
The # was cut on the Cameo.   #AwesomeCraftingTool

Challenge 133 was to use hearts in summer colors.
I was digging through my stash and found the adorable rainbow washi tape. I originally bought it because it reminded me of 1984...
#RainbowSweaters, #RainbowShoeLaces and my most favorite #RainbowHeadband.
those were great summers back in the 80's.

The stamp is from CAS-ual Fridays "Shenanigans" set.

Tape inspired by ink smudge... hee hee

OK, so here is the first card I made and then I
realized that it was supposed to have hearts...
Both have the same inside.

PS#7: baby card

Here's another baby card. I have a baby card ministry at church.
Features papers and stickers from Echo Park's "Bundle of Joy" collection.
Two of the strips are paper and two are stickers.
The owl is raised with foam.
I used the Poppy Sketch #7 Challenge for the design.
I added Stickles to the tree sticker.

Thanks for visiting.
Last few weeks for my Card Drive for Emma
an elementary school girl battling Leukemia. .
Prizes will be drawn at the end of July.
Please check it out and consider sending a card or two...
