L40: Make a background

howdy!
Had some fun making this little gem.
Created the background using two stamps from Lawn Fawn's "Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum"
using white embossing powder.  I did two lines at a time.

Supplies:
Stamps by Lawn Fawn
Paper: cs by Bazzill and patterned papers by MME
Other: embossing powder, Spellbinders Wonky rectangles, Hemtique string, Fiskars punch

I am entering this card into the Lawnscaping Challenge #40
Make Your Own Background Paper
and Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes!

All was well and good until I stabbed myself with the
stick pin I had in my bottle of Glossy Accents.
And we're not talking a prick, but the thing was REAL deep and ached for a while.
So glad not to get any blood on the card after painstakingly making that background!

Thanks for looking... and be careful out there crafters, it is a dangerous game we play....

All of the sides are covered but I didn't photograph the others.

Birthday Daisies

Sharing a card I just love!
These MME papers go so beautifully together for this sketch.

I combined two challenges, one to use patterned papers and
another to use a sketch and came up with this cutie.

I stamped the flowers on 3 different papers from the pad
and glued them on top of the full stamped image.
I added a bit of shiny paint to accent the center of the flowers.

Here's the sketch from The Craft's Meow:

Our main computer is down and I had to take the photo with my iphone so it's a bit blurry.
DH has called an IT guy and we'll see.... ugh.  I had a lot of photos backed up but not the summer ones, but they may still be on my camera. Great picture of this card on there too..

thank you card featuring Lawn Fawn

HI there!
Sharing a "thank You" card I made for someone.

CAS look.
Used Lawn Fawn's "On the Mend" flower vase and a
Lawn Fawn "thank you" that was a freebie in one of my orders.

I scored the top and then embossed the "thank you" in white.

I used 3 different colored pink pencils on the flower and added a bit of Stickles.
I put  a touch of Glossy Accents on the vase.

Weeeeeee! another Halloween card

Sharing another Halloween card I made using the Craft's Meow August sketch.
This one features their "Typically Teen" set.

I am just "over the moon" with this set... get it?  I know... I know....

I heat embossed the "moon" in white and added a "swoosh"
to show the witch's flight path using another stamp from the set.

Trying to show the background stamping on the black die cut:

Birthday Butterfly

Browsed through challenge blogs last night while watching the Olympics
and designed a card inspired by a few.

The design is inspired by The Craft's Meow August Sketch.
The watercolor background colors were inspired by the latest Runway challenge photo.
.
I chose the colors from the dress (on my phone the third color looked more pumice,
but on the computer looks more green, go figure...) and loved the movement of it so
I chose a butterfly to represent that movement.

For the background panel, I stamped Concord, Pumice and Spiced Marmalade inks onto my mat, sprayed it with water and perfect Pearls and inked up my white cardstock.
LOVE the look!
I embossed the butterfly on patterned paper and embossed the sentiment on cardstock.

Frankenstein a bit EARLY!

Hey there.
After a 14 day battle with bronchitis,
I found a little energy late last week to work on my older son's Halloween 2011 layout.
I decided to play with the papers and make a Halloween card while it was all out.  This year will be our 5th annual Halloween Party and I'll use this as one of the invitations.

I used the Craft Meow's "Typically Teen" set on the circle die cut.
(Pumice splatters and Marmalade paint swipe)

Papers are from the We R Memory Keepers "Spookville" collection.
The design is from the Craft's Meow August Sketch.

Simon Says Stamp: Bingo!

I am entering this card into the Craft's Meow August Sketch contest
as well as the Simon Says Stamp Bingo! challenge.
I have another card in the works, just need time to finish it!

Papers: WRMK
Stamps: Craft's Meow "Typically Teen"
Distress Inks:  Spiced marmalade, pumice, dusty concord, weathered wood
Embellies: K and Co., string
