Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop: Blog Candy

Very excited to be participating in the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!
There was snow on the ground when I made this so I went with
YELLOW to brighten things up a bit!
I used Shimmerz spray over the MFT Diagonal stencil for the background.
The coffee cup stamp is by Fiskars.
The cup was colored with Copics and then jazzed up with a bit of Stickles.
The "sunshine" paper and sentiment/die are all by Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the cup image twice and layered the lid on the stamped image
and then coated it with glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping here along the hop.
Comment for a chance to win a little
Starbucks gift card to get your favorite drink on me!
Enjoy the other projects,
Kelly

WM64: Bday card for Golfer

Howdy.
Today I am sharing a fun card I made for my brother's 50th birthday!
He's a golfer so I used that as my theme.
The blue background is a mix of several different Distress inks.
The images are all paper pieced.
I added white embossing powder to the clouds for some fun fluff.

If you click on the photos, it will provide a clearer image.

L11, SSS, WM56: Father's day card

Howdy.
Sharing a card I made today that I will use for Father's Day.  I don't have a "Father's Day" sentiment I like (the one I have is a wonky $1 one), so I used this Hero Arts sentiment.
I stamped the clouds with StazOn on metallic paper and cut them out.
I stamped and cut out the plane and added metallic pen to the engines/jets and nose.

I am submitting this to a few challenges:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage", "Bannerific"; Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings"
Ink:  Memento black, StazOn black, & Versamark

Thanks for looking!

Limelight #66: sketch w/red

Howdy.
Made a card today for the Limelight Papercrafts sketch Challenge #66 using RED.  I checked my calendar to see the upcoming birthdays and noticed there are several male b-days coming up in the family so that set the tone.  Once again, I've used a star on a male card.  I had all the parts mostly done and then set it aside to fold some laundry and then it came to me...
WIRE!  I love when that happens.
You step away from a project for a bit and sometimes an idea just pops in your mind.
Cool.  So, I dug out the MM wire that I've had for 10 yrs and played.
Here's the result:

Here's what the original frame sticker looked like.
I cut the middle out with a craft knife and replaced it with the BG paper.

Here's the Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: BG "Oliver"
Ink: Stazon and Faded Jeans Distress
Star: Use "George" cart and cut it at 2 1/2" three times for depth
Misc: floss, Recollections glittered frame, MM wire

Thanks for coming by.
If you'd like a chance to WIN 8 white Heidi Swapp damask stickers,
go to my 1/27/11 post HERE and leave a comment.
Ends Sunday, February 6.

Thank You card for male

Happy Friday!  Today's card is a "thank you" for a male.  It looked very much like a sympathy card after I finished the stamping so a quick trip to HL helped cure that with the addition of the colored papers.  I think this one will be headed to one of the storytellers at church in the preschool department.  The kids love his ventriloquist act with "Arnold" who shares God's messages in such a humorous and entertaining manner.

The fall colors were inspired by  City Crafter Challenge sponsored by the Pixie Dust Paperie

The overlapping of the trees was inspired by the weave in the Paper Variety challenge week 7 sponsored by Apron Strings Designs

Supplies:
Inks:  Stampin' Up in baroque burgundy, old olive, close to cocoa, ruby red, more mustard, and really rust; Distress in vintage photo, antique linen, peeled paint and weathered wood.
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn "thank you" and tree???? no name and bought about 7 yrs ago...
Other: Stickles in red, Tim Holtz edge distresser

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a happy and SAFE Halloween!  -Kelly
