This challenge was called a "collage" challenge.

Here's the inspiration photo:

I drew inspiration from the seafoam blanket and white elements.
I stamped the "hello" in Tide Pool ink and then white embossed it too.
I added the butterfly dies coated in glitter.

Thanks for visiting.

W&W Bday Bash: Rotation Challenge

Playing along with a few challenges at Winnie and Walter.
The first one I will share is a card I made for the In Rotation Technique Challenge.

At first the images were going to be flowers,
but it really didn't play out that way once I got started.
Thought this could be a cheerful card for a friend.

I used "The Big, the Bold and the Happy" as well as "Big Bang Confetti".
The inks are by Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts.

Happy New Year.
Thanks for visiting,
Kelly

Poppy Sketch 15

Back on this Monday morning with another card featuring the sketch from Poppy Sketches.
We are featuring wood veneer from Gina K designs.
I am also featuring a stamp by Gina K called Beyond Baskets

I didn't have any houndstooth patterned paper or stamps,
so I cut the background design on my Silhouette.
I colored the wagon with Copics.
I punched flowers out of the foil and glitter paper (both by DCWV).
I covered the wood veneer with Stampendous glitter.
To set the glitter, I sprayed it with a bit of HAIRSPRAY (whaaaaat?)
Please tell me how you would have done it. I didn't want to use gloss on top...

Here's a close-up:

Hope you play along with this week's Poppy Sketch Challenge!

NEON hello card for Maddy

Decided to make a card for MADDY, a young teen battling AML, a type of Leukemia.
You can read about it HERE.

I am using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #30 and the
inspiration from the Let's Get Trendy Challenge: NEON

Lacking neon, I browsed Michael's and found these adorable pre-made banners.  I used that as my start and added papers from my stash (Simple Stories, MME).
I bought the sequins last week in anticipation for that upcoming
challenge so I used them here as flower centers.

I felt the card needed a handmade element so I stamped the Hero Arts flower,
colored it with matching Copics and cut them out.
The first card will go to Maddy and the other is for my stash.

Lawnscaping #7: a happy hello

Happy Hello to ya!
I designed this card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #7: Make your own background.
I paired the smiley face icon of "Say Cheese" with Harold's ABCs for the "happy".
I started to use red and it quickly gave a mustard/ketchup feel so I bagged that idea.
I like the black, yellow and white much better.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn's "Say Cheese" and "Harold's ABC"
Ink: Memento
Papers: BG and cardstock
Misc:  Twine, rick rack, pop dots, Cuttin Up cart, Spellbinders Labels One, flower, Glossy Accents

Have a great day!

SSS: Anything Goes

Hi.
This week's challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is "Anything Goes" so
I am sharing  a card I made for the last Paper Crafts call.
I figure since it got rejected there it can have a new life in the challenge, ha ha
Looks much cuter live.  It makes much more sense when you see the sketch.
It was based on Sketch #68 so when you get your copy of the magazine,
you can see my interpretation!

Here's the back of the front panel.  What a mess!

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts: "Everyday Sayings" and "Friendship Definition"
Ink: Memento black and SU Pretty in pink
Other: Twine from The Twinery and gems brads by MM, white acrylic paint.

Have a great day!
~Kelly

Here's the inspiration photo and color scheme.

I am using my dollar tree stamp from Michael's again.
I added the blue paper for interest.
Jennifer McGuire (love her!) makes those little banners on her cards all of the time so I added one here with a Hero Arts sentiment from "Classic Messages".

Supplies:
Papers:  Amy Butler for K and Co "AB Lotus" and cardstock
Stamps: Hero Arts "Classic Messages", tree from M's
Inks:  Stampin' Up Basic Brown, Distress Vintage Photo
Owl: Making Memories
Photo Corner: MS Photo corner punch
Brad: Making Memories

I have also used this tree stamp HERE and HERE if you'd like to check them out!
Certainly got my money's worth out if it!
