TRHD Bday Bash Day 3

It's Day 3 of the Rabbit Hole Designs Birthday BASH

The Rabbit Hole is TWO this weekend!

Today's post is featuring their new stencil called "Valentine".
I made a super quick tag for this project

I started with a blank white pre-made tag.
I inked the tag with light pink ink using a Cotton Tail Blending Brush.

I then applied darker pink ink using the stencil.
After the inks dried, I put the stencil back on top of the tag and applied Neon pink Glitz Gel just on the heart.

Here's the HOP Order.  I just had fun playing with the new products!

Doggone It, Be My Valentine!

Valentine's Day is coming and I'm sharing a card featuring many products from  The Rabbit Hole Designs, LLC .
I love this card so much and I cannot wait to give it to the Hubs!!

I stamped the background using the paw print and bone from the "Doggone" set with brown ink on kraft paper. There are several sizes of paw prints to choose from in this adorable set.

I used gold glitter glitz gel with the "Candy Twist" stencil.
Once it dried, I cut it out with a heart die.

I stamped, colored and fussy-cut my pups.

I stamped the large heart from "Love You More" to create balloons.

I stamped the sentiment from "Doggone"

There's glitter pen on the dog's scarf and Nuvo Glaze on the balloons.

Holiday Smooch Under the Mistletoe

Happy Holidays!
I am excited to share my first project as a new design team member for

I took a their romantic Valentine themed stamp set, "Love You More" and
set the couple in a holiday theme under the mistletoe.  I use their incredibly sweet "Candy Twist" stencil on the background panel with red glitz gel.

Close up shows all the finishing touches:
liquid pearl, Nuvo clear, Stickles Diamond, glitter pen

To make the top panel, I masked off the copic colored couple and I used distress ink on the background.  Then I stamped the mistletoe using the large heart upside down from the set. I splattered the background with Pearl Mixative and Distress Picket Fence.  I used Liquid Pearl on the edge of her dress as well as covered the red dress with a glitter pen.  I then added Diamond Stickles to the bottom and randomly around for glittery snow.

Always fun to look at a stamp set in a new way.  Here's the same set when I used it for an anniversary card for my husband last June:

CIC 347: Valentine

Sharing the Valentine I made for my husband.
This card features the  "Tree Hugs"   set by Concord and 9th with a Lawn Fawn bird.
I stamped two trees with brown ombre Hero Arts ink
and then added a bit of Copic marker for more texture.

I am entering this Valentine into the Cupcake Inspirations Love challenge:

The card really has some "meat" to it.
Instead of foam tape, I raised the larger tree with fun foam.
Really made the card feel sturdy with a giant piece of foam behind the tree.

Thanks for visiting,
Kelly

Valentines for "Cards from the Heart"

Hi there!
Today I am sharing some cards I made for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive hosted by Winter Sims.  This card drive is in its 5th year.  I used a variety of products for these.

The first card was inspired by Lin and her card I pinned HERE.
That heart is a punch I layered about 5 times.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Your Future is Bright" stamp set that was a special release for Studio Calico.  The heart was stamped with red distress and embossed with clear powder for a nice shine.

The next two cards feature the same heart from the
"Your Future is Bright" set and sentiment by Hero Arts.

This final card contains a panel embossed with a
Cuttlebug embossing folder with a heart punched out.
That heart stamp is by Stampin' Up! That top panel is raised with foam.

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you will consider submitting cards for the drive.
She needs them by the end of January!!
Great prize sponsors.

See you soon,
Kelly

Valentine Party Picture "booth"

Hello.
Busy weekend here but I wanted to share an idea I had while lying in bed one morning.
I am one of the room moms for our oldest son and we were going to
have stations for the 1st grade party.
I needed another station.

Then a light bulb went off and I remembered the Lawn Fawn facebook pictures from CHA.
They made large cut outs of many of their stamps including their Polaroid stamp
and took pictures of themselves with visitors.

AHA!
I decided to make one myself and use it as a photo booth at the party.
They can have their picture made with just themselves or with a friend.
I'll print them out later and send them back to school with my son.

20x30 foam board from Michael's Crafts $1.50

Draw and cut out the frame with a nice sharp box cutter.
My sides are 2 inches wide.

I painted mine grey with Acrylic Paint (.59).  This DID warp the board a bit.

Decorate with stickers, die cute shapes and gems.

My adorable (trust me) anonymous model:

Stations for our Valentine Party:
- Picture "booth"
-Tattoo  station
- Pin the arrow on the cupid
- Toss the ping pong balls into the cups/get it the red cup = prize
- Guess the number of candies in the bag (closest guess wins the treats)
- "Paint" your cookie edible craft
-Whole group story and Bingo

Supplies:
Idea: Lawn Fawn inspired
Papers: Echo Park "Be Mine"
Other: foam board, box cutter, glue, acrylic paint

I am entering this into Simon Says Stamp: Love is in the Air challenge

I think the kids will have fun with this.
The other mom is making a crown for them to wear in the picture.

The back can be decorated for a different theme or for a birthday party if you don't allow overhang like I did.  I let things hang off a bit since the board warped.
Next time, I may cover with paper and ATG adhesive to prevent warping.
Thanks for looking,
Kelly

I posted a similar card yesterday, but thought this one rocked
bit more for the Lawnscaping challenge!
Need to use that embossing powder more.  It just sings on the card!

I stamped the drum and sticks on coordinating papers and then paper pieced them.
