BG51, SSS sketch and CFC17: bday card

Hello.
I am sharing a card I made for my niece's upcoming 18th birthday.
I used the Basic Grey "Cupcake" Collection pack and the sketch from Simon Says Stamp.
I added some pizazz to the present sticker with Stickles and Glossy Accents on the words.

Another sticker on the inside:

I am submitting this card into the following challenges:
Basic Grey #51: Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp: Use Dawny's Sketch

Supplies:
Papers and stickers:  Basic Grey "Cupcake" Collection pack
Inks:  Distress Barn Door and Faded Jeans
Other:  Stickles, pop dots, punch by EK, Glossy Accents

For those of you with kids that just started back, you'll appreciate this...
I picked up the older one from school Friday and he had a COMPLETE meltdown b/c the little guy got to go to the zoo Friday with cousins.  "I never get to have any fun anymore," he sobbed from the back seat... I felt so bad.  I asked him if he wanted a another zoo trip before school started and he said no. He did get to enjoy the grandparents' pool Saturday,
but I know he'll continue to ask EVERY day at pick up what Matthew and I did that day.

WM64: Bday card for Golfer

Howdy.
Today I am sharing a fun card I made for my brother's 50th birthday!
He's a golfer so I used that as my theme.
The blue background is a mix of several different Distress inks.
The images are all paper pieced.
I added white embossing powder to the clouds for some fun fluff.

If you click on the photos, it will provide a clearer image.

SSS: Alex's card for Ellie

Tough time here for momma.
My first born has now started first grade and for the first time in both of our lives, he will be gone ALL day!!  I have been so blessed to be able to stay home with my boys so it is bittersweet as he enters this new phase in his academic pursuits.  I think the little guy will have it harder though as his best playmate will be gone and make new friends.
I am so glad that he will start preschool in a couple weeks.
He loved preschool last year so I suspect he'll have a lot of fun this year too.

Not much crafting for me as DH and I are switching spaces.  I had the spare bedroom, moved out to let him create a quiet space for an office and I moved into the "dining room" and now we're flipping it all back.
He wants to be on the main floor and I like not having to worry about my creative messes.
The only downside is that I'll be away from the computer...
Or maybe I'll get more done.... hmmmmm....
My supplies are in laundry baskets, piles, and pretty much in chaos.
Hope to be back to some challenges myself next week.

Here's Alex's birthday card he made for his friend Ellie.
He chose the zebra from Create a Critter.
They LOVE that cartridge and I am so glad I bought it!

Supposed to say "Have a good birthday"

SSS: Matthew's card for Ellie

This is Matthew's birthday card for our neighbor.
He chose to decorate the poodle from Create a Critter Cartridge.
Surprisingly, he did not ask for glitter glue.

He traced the sentiment from me, but wrote his name and added the smiley face himself.

Love how my 4 yr old mixes and matches his PJs.

Sharing a card I made for a little girl's 6th birthday.
I used my Basic Grey scraps from THIS CARD SET to make the card.

Kitty has a bit of flocking powder and Glossy Accents (hard to see) as well as
some black wire whiskers!
I added a few hearts with Glossy Accents to fill in some space.

SSS: kids' challenge, Matthew's card

My son Matthew (4) is sharing a card he made for his friend,
Evan, who had a tonsillectomy.
After he saw his brother's card, he wanted a turtle too.
Matthew's favorite color is blue, so the card base is blue.
Matthew LOVES glitter glue and thus the sparkle.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn's "On the Mend"
Pencils: mommy's old set of colored pencils, Stickles (with many reminders to "go easy" with mommy's precious glitter glue).  He did a GREAT job!

CFC14: oops...

So, I was inspired by CAS-ual Friday's Challenge 14 to use glue dots, not a liquid adhesive, to adhere products...
So, I made the card I am sharing and then reread the challenge...
it was to adhere "glitz"..
OOPS.
I don't buy loose glitter and had adhered flocking powder with my glue dots.
I am submitting it anyway since it is finished,
but I realize it doesn't fit the challenge completely.

PS.  the flocking powder adhered beautifully with the Glue Dots!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin Up flower and HA sentiment
Inks: SU More Mustard, Distress Vintage Photo and Brilliance Moonlight White
Paper:  polka dot is MME "Hip-Horray"
Other: Glue Dots, flocking powder, Signo Uniball for faux stitching

Thanks for looking at my oopsy,

SSS: Christmas in August

While my little guy played some computer games on Nick, JR,
I made another Christmas card.
I have almost a whole stack of MME's Countdown to Christmas I bought last year.
Hard to stamp on since every sheet is embossed or glittered,
but I managed to get some images to work using StazOn.

I stamped diff. the stars from the set on various patterns and cut them out.

Blogger, ugh: click on the photo for a clearer image.

SSS: Kids' Challenge, Alex's Card

Greetings!
Today Alex  (age 6) and I (age, um.. cough... cough...)  are sharing a card
he made for his friend, Evan.
Evan is having a tonsillectomy and we thought it'd be fun to
send him a card to cheer him up.

Alex asked me to call Evan's mom to learn Evan's favorite color: green.
He choose the turtle from my Lawn Fawn set and wanted a REAL band-aid rather than the stamped one from the set.
He added a sun and a pool (red circle) for the turtle.
He choose google eyes of different sizes for giggles.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn's "On the Mend"

Hi.  Today's card was inspired by three challenges.
The design/sketch is by Heather at Basic Grey Challenge #49 (Jovial).

The edges of paper were distressed with the edge distressing tool by TH.
There's some inked edges as well.

The banner was stamped on cream cs and I inked it with Vintage Photo.

If you click on the photo, it will give a clearer image.

CFC13: 4x9 card

I was inspired this week to try the challenge over at
CAS-ual Fridays #13: the long and the short of it using a 4x9 card!
I have never tried their challenge before due to time constraints, but when I saw Karen Baker's adorable whale card, I loved the look of the 4x9 card and decided to try it!

I scored the white panel to give it an clean and simple look around the sides.
The dog was stamped, colored,  Stickled, Glossified (new word?), and flocked.
I stamped the ball in black and red to combine to get the black outline and red stitching.
I gave the ball a little bit of dimension with a pop dot.

You should be able to click on the picture for a clear view, darn blogger...

My doggie has a sparkly collar, glossy nose and tag and flocked muzzle!
