BG63, SSS, L28: masculine birthday card

Been doing a lot of scrapbooking, but took a break to make a card  for
one of many birthdays to come in our family.
I decided to make one a little on the masculine side and used
Basic Grey's "Oxford" papers with a splash of "Granola".

I distressed the edges of the star panel and used two distress inks to color the "hi".
I love how it turned out.  Really matches!

The pup was stamped on the same paper as the back panel,
but I pounced him a little with Vintage Photo.
Gave the card a little mist of perfect pearls/water.
There's a metallic gem for the collar and a dot of shiny dimensional paint on his nose.

Supplies:
Papers: BG "Oxford" and "Granola"
Stamps: Lawn Fawn "Critters in the Burbs" and "Quinn's ABCs"
Ink: Memento black, Distress in Barn Door and Fired Brick, Vintage Photo
Other: Spellbinders Wonky rectangles, Sizzix star, Hemptique hemp cord, Perfect Pearls, TH edge distressor, gem, shiny fabric paint, Cuttlebug star

I am submitting card into the following challenges:
Basic Grey #63: Wish Upon a Star
Lawnscaping #28: Distress Mania
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes

Can you see my "watermark"?
I have fiddled and fiddled and fiddled and FINALLY figured out how to do it!
Just needs to be bigger...

I can do ALL things...

Hi there.
Sharing a card I made for a set.
It features an inspiration stamp by Verve and
paper from Basic Grey's "Life of the Party" 6x6 pad.

I sat and just stared at the "ruler" sheet and had that stamp on my desk.
I kept looking back and forth and it came to me... His power is immeasurable.
I cut the ruler sheet from the pad into strips and "wrapped" it to look like those fabric tapes.

Stamps: Verve Plain Janes
Ink: Distress Barn Door
Stickers: Cosmo Cricket Tiny Types
Other: Spellbinder Nestabilities wonky rectangles

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Valentine Party Picture "booth"

Hello.
Busy weekend here but I wanted to share an idea I had while lying in bed one morning.
I am one of the room moms for our oldest son and we were going to
have stations for the 1st grade party.
I needed another station.

Then a light bulb went off and I remembered the Lawn Fawn facebook pictures from CHA.
They made large cut outs of many of their stamps including their Polaroid stamp
and took pictures of themselves with visitors.

AHA!
I decided to make one myself and use it as a photo booth at the party.
They can have their picture made with just themselves or with a friend.
I'll print them out later and send them back to school with my son.

20x30 foam board from Michael's Crafts $1.50

Draw and cut out the frame with a nice sharp box cutter.
My sides are 2 inches wide.

I painted mine grey with Acrylic Paint (.59).  This DID warp the board a bit.

Decorate with stickers, die cute shapes and gems.

My adorable (trust me) anonymous model:

Stations for our Valentine Party:
- Picture "booth"
-Tattoo  station
- Pin the arrow on the cupid
- Toss the ping pong balls into the cups/get it the red cup = prize
- Guess the number of candies in the bag (closest guess wins the treats)
- "Paint" your cookie edible craft
-Whole group story and Bingo

Supplies:
Idea: Lawn Fawn inspired
Papers: Echo Park "Be Mine"
Other: foam board, box cutter, glue, acrylic paint

I am entering this into Simon Says Stamp: Love is in the Air challenge

I think the kids will have fun with this.
The other mom is making a crown for them to wear in the picture.

The back can be decorated for a different theme or for a birthday party if you don't allow overhang like I did.  I let things hang off a bit since the board warped.
Next time, I may cover with paper and ATG adhesive to prevent warping.

Kelly
