Paper Variety #14

Greetings.
Today's card was inspired by Paper Variety's challenge #14 this week.  The cute photo at the bottom of the post is the inspiration.  My card features an Imaginisce dog stamp.  I colored him with pencils and then added liquid pearls to his belly and glossy accents to his nose.  The hat was cut out of some patterned paper I had and I added the liquid pearls to it for texture.  I created the sentiment myself on the computer and printed it on colored paper.  It actually has pop dots behind it.  This challenge is generously sponsored by Cosmo Cricket!  YUM!

Here's the ADORABLE inspiration photo.  I just wanna snuggle that face!

Sorry for the dark photos.  I usually take mine outside but due to over 3 inches of snow on the ground I decided to stay inside, ha ha.  Stay warm!
Thanks for coming by my blog today!  -Kelly

Paper:  MME, cardstock
Stamp: Imaginisce
Ink: Memento

CCC #35/ Treat Bags 2010

Are you knee deep in holiday projects?  I am nearing the surface, ha ha.
Today I am sharing the treat bags I made this year for DH's coworkers.

I have featured Lawn Fawn's "Winter Bunny" (my theme for this year).
He's on our Christmas card shown HERE

I got the kraft bags at Michaels, painted them with white acrylic paint and stamped the snowflakes from Lawn Fawn's "Frosties" set with Brilliance white ink and put a dot of Stickles in the centers and in the snow.  Originally, I was going to adhere torn white paper for the snow or felt, but I saw THIS POST by Nicole Maki where she painted on lunch bags so I decided to do that.  Quick and easy!  I then added the bunny which I had previously stamped, colored, cut out, flocked (scarf) and pearlized (ears and tail).  WHEW!  I sent out about 65 cards and there are 25 treat bags.... and I still have bunnies stamped and colored on a sheet of paper... so I guess I did that bunny about 90 times...

Treat bags inside are filled with homemade buckeyes, turtles and dipped pretzels.

Tip for painting the bags:  I put a sheet of paper in the sides to keep the sides neater.  I had a couple bags with paint on the back fold and this helped....

Thought this was funny. Drying time!

I am submitting this project to the City Crafter Challenge #35: use Kraft paper.
This week's challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Designs.

Thanks for stopping by the old bloggity today.

Treat Bags

Sharing some treat bags I made last year for DH's coworkers.

I believe the paper is by My Minds Eye stack.
It's long gone so I am not sure of the name.
Got it at Hobby Lobby.

They were inspired by THIS post by Jennifer McGuire.
She has a video with the instructions!

Making buckeyes for this year's bags.
The bags are completely different.  They are ready, just need the treats.
I'll share them soon! They are VERY cute!

Limelight Papercrafts Sketch 62

Hello!
Today's card was inspired by Limelight Papercraft's challenge 62 this week.
The challenge is to use the sketch below with some SPARKLE!    I decided to make a card for my brother's birthday.  He's a New Years Eve baby!  I added glitter to the polka dot patterned paper used for the star and the inside balloon cut from the paper.
A touch of glitz, but still manly!

Let it Snow... wee Memories #34

The wee Memories challenge 34 this week (sponsored by DeNami Designs) is to make a project inspired by a holiday song.  My inspirations are from the songs  "Let it Snow" and "Oh Christmas Tree" as well as a rug I found at Lowe's which is shown below.

I stamped the trees and then stamped the snowflakes in the background with Top Emboss ink and clear embossing powder.  After that dried, I inked the background with Antique Linen, Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood Distress Inks.  I wiped off the ink from the snow flakes.  The ornaments on the middle tree are red gems and it is topped with a star brad.  There's a hint of snow on the trees with 3D paint.   The snow on the bottom is white felt.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #88

Hi there.  I made different Christmas card from the other I posted.  This card was inspired by the photo below for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #88 generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn.   I had a holly leaf stamp in a Stampin Up set that went perfectly with the challenge so I dusted it off and went to off to play!  Love this paper stack by MME!  Love my Labels Eight die set here by Spellbinders.  I have Labels One on my wish list.
I've been nice so we'll see what Santa brings!

OTWC #36: browns

Today's card was inspired by the Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #36.  It features a monochromatic color scheme of browns.  I love this little puppy stamp!  The shading on the puppy's side looks really red in the photo, but not as much in real life.  This card will go to a teen helper at church for serving in the preschool ministry.  Thanks to Artfuldelight for sponsoring this week's challenge.

EBTKS #28: Texture, Baby!

Today I am sharing a ramped-up version of my Christmas card.
I had a blast coming up with ways to make aspects of the card pop!

The Winter Bunny was stamped with Memento ink, colored with pencils and blended.  I used a red marker for the scarf.  I cut the bunny out and added flocking powder to his scarf (keep him nice and warm) and perfect pearls to his tail.   I did this over 70 times for my cards and other Christmas projects. (yeah, I'm a little nuts, but I just love this bunny). I used the MS Circle Cutter to make the shaped card at 4".  The background is stamped with Lawn Fawn's Frosties and embossed with clear powder.  I added some gems to a few flakes.  I ripped white paper for the snow and then covered it with cotton ballsI like that the scarf is unattached b/c I think it gives the bunny movement.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Thanks to Limelight Papercrafts for sponsoring the wee Memories challenge!
