wee Memories and SSS: treat bags

Greetings.
Today I am sharing a quick little treat bag I made for my son's teacher.
The rolls are lifesaver packs.
I used the sketch from wee Memories Challenge #41: Sketch (sponsored by Simon Says Stamp) and the theme from the Simon Says Stamp challenge this week: animal antics.

The Sketch:

Supplies:
The paper is from my stash and the monkey and vine stamps are from a Target clearance last year.
I didn't save the packaging.... oops!  the monkey was colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut out.

Thanks for coming by.

Sharing a new challenge site: Lawnscaping

If you're are like me, you may enjoy participating in challenges.  They help me be more focused when creating a project to make them better and faster than ever!   I LOVE Lawn Fawn stamps and if you've seen my "work" then you have seen their stamps used many, many times.  They are clear high quality photo polymer stamps, made in the USA, and they stamp SO cleanly and beautifully.

Laurel Beard created a new challenge site called Lawnscaping to challenge us LF fans to use the stamps in creative ways.  We're spreading the word about the challenges to increase participation.  The current challenge ends 2/2 and then a new challenge is posted the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.  There's a prize for each challenge and then a grand prize at the end of the year.  Each entry into the challenges throughout the year is an entry for the big daddy prize (yet to be revealed).

Here's some of my 2010 projects using Lawn Fawn:

"Winter Bunny" and "Frosties"

"Harolds ABCs" I love this set.  There are extra letters to spell out any word you want!

"Bannerific" and "Harolds ABCs"

"Heebie Jeebies"

Hope you'll come check it out and play along!
I hear that Lawn Fawn is having a mini release around February 7!

Also, if you like a chance to win 8 white Heidi Swapp damask stickers,

wee Memories #40: brunch invitations

Today I am sharing the final version of the church brunch invitation.  I
'm entering it into the wee Memories Challenge 40: Anything Goes sponsored by iCopic.
I made 50 of these little cuties!  Yes, that's over a 100 cranks of the cuttlebug.
My "C" plate looks well worn, but my beautiful Spellbinders die still looks like new!

I scored the back panel at 3/8" on the Martha Stewart score board.
I adhered it to the front with Scotch Quick Dry.

The inspirational Brunch Napkins:

Here's the original card some of you have seen already.  It's "OK".  The shaped card really takes the cuteness up a notch or two and I like the flower better too.
MUCH more work, but totally worth the wow!

Supplies:
Die: Spellbinders Labels Eight (love this thing)
Stamp: Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings"
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper and floss:  HL
Flower: Cricut "George"..... almost threw the thing out the window.... had to clean up the cuts with scissors
Other: metallic gem, flower punch from stash, MS score board

Thanks for looking.

Simple Valentine

Hi.
Today I am sharing a card I designed for an upcoming card class I am teaching at church.  It is a basic class for 1st and 2nd graders.  This will be the first card they make.  I precut all of the pieces for this first one.  They will learn a new "technique" each week and make a predesigned card.  Weeks 5 and 6, they will be encouraged to make their own using a sketch, etc.

Simple, but cute.  I hope they like it too.  Thanks for looking!  -Kelly

Supplies: all papers and ribbon from Michaels.  Heart punch from stash.

Limelight Sketch #64 chipboard: male b-day card

For this Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Challenge incorporating chipboard,  I decided to make a male birthday card so I manned up today!
I shopped my stash for anything manly and found a 3" chipboard circle, my ignored edge distressor, rugged twine, star brads, and sports paper.

I painted the chipboard circle with brown paint and then adhered the 3" circle cut on the Cricut. The letters were cut from the "Cuttin' Up" cartridge.  I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the chipboard for the star brads.  It's one of those tools I don't use often, but I am glad I have it!

The Sketch:

Supplies:
Paper: We R Memory Keepers "MVP", cardstock
Stamp: Stampin Up
Ink: Distress in Vintage Photo, Memento
Cricut: George and Cuttin Up
Other: chipboard circle from stash, twine, star brads, Tim Holtz edge distressor, Crop-a-Dile

Lawnscaping #2/SSS Bingo

Hi there!

This baby card was inspired by two challenges.  For the 2nd Lawnscaping Challenge we were to case the ever-so talented Kelly-Marie Alvarez (Mrs. Lawn Fawn) and you'll see her card below.  I love the dimension in her card and the multiple flowers.

The other inspiration comes from this weeks' Simon Says Stamp bingo challenge which I chose buttons, flowers, glitter.  The bingo board is below too.

Lots of paper piecing on this one.  The banner, birds, patterned and blue flowers were paper pieced and the little pink flowers were colored with pencils.
This will go to the church to welcome a new baby girl!

Here's Kelly-Marie's card.  The original post is HERE.

Here's the Bingo board at Simon Says Stamp:

Supplies:
Paper: BG "Olivia" and cardstock
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific" and "Harold's ABC", Stampin Up flowers and flowers by Autumn Leaves, dots are Stamps by Judith
Ink: Distress Broken China, Memento Tuxedo Black and Stampin' Up pink
Misc: Stickles diamond and pink, buttons, gem, pop dot

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day!  ~Kelly

wee Memories Challenge #39

Greetings!
Today's card is for the wee Memories Challenge #39: Ribbon.  I was hoping for some yellow gingham, but ran across an OLD pack of EK Success Adornments begging to be used so I chose the orange.  That stuff must be 9-10 years old.  This challenge is generously sponsored by May Arts ribbon company.  The sun image was stamped, colored, Stickled and cut out and placed on top of the same stamped image on the orange.

This card will go to one of our teen helpers at church.
They are so helpful in the preschool department!

Supplies:
Stamp: Hero Arts (inside sentiment) and Stampin Up (sun)
Ink:  Memento
Other:  Spellbinders Labels Eight, string by EK Success, divine swirls (I think) embossing folder, Stickles, Prismacolor pencils, gem

Cupcake Craft #124 & Lawnscaping Challenge 1: winter birthday

Happy Snow Day!
It's falling fast and furious out there today.  SO pretty.  I made this card for my niece's 17th birthday coming up at the end of the month.  I was going to use pinks and purples, but I think she'd like the blue more.

I used Lawn Fawn's "Frosties" set for the sentiment and then on the background with clear embossing powder.  The little girl and snowman were stamped, colored and cut out.  I added Stickles to the little girl's hat and scarf and the tiny orange brads on her coat.  She is holding a piece of cotton ball.  The snowman has a flocked scarf and hat with a dab of liquid pearls on the tip of the hat.  He has black brads for the "coal" buttons.

I am entering this in the Lawnscaping Challenge ONE "Snow" theme (2nd entry) and the Cupcake Craft  "Something New" challenge #124.  The TPC studio stamp set was a birthday gift from my brother and SIL and this is the first time I have use them! Such a cute set!

The inside features the Lawn Fawn set with a HA sentiment.
A dab of blue Stickles was added to the corner stamped image:

Here's the new TPC Studio stamp set I received for my birthday:

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn "Frosties", TPC Studio "Winter Activities", Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings"
Ink: Memento, Top Emboss
Paper: white glitter paper from Target, HL
Other: MS flocking powder, brads, liquid pearls, Stickles, Prismacolor pencils, cotton ball, pop dots, clear embossing powder, whew!

Thanks for coming by today!  Time to shovel the driveway and play in the snow!  -Kelly

wee Memories Challenge #38

Howdy.
I am sharing a card I have designed to possibly be used as an invitation for a ladies' brunch at church.  The purpose of the brunch is to thank the preschool teachers and subs for their hard work.  The card was inspired by the napkins I found at Hobby Lobby for the event.
The papers are from HL, the twine is from The Twinery.
I am entering this into the wee Memories Challenge #38: TWINE.

The poppy flower is popped off the top of the card for dimension:

Here are the napkins I found to set the color scheme:

Supplies:
Papers: HL
Stamp: Hero Arts
Ink: Memento
Twine: The Twinery's pink sorbet
Flower: Cricut "Storybook"
Other: gems, Stickles

Thanks for stopping by.
I have another sample to show the event organizer too.
I'll share that one here later when I finish.
