Baby Cards for Limelight Papercrafts sketch

Today I am sharing a couple cards I made using the sketch from the Limelight Papercrafts challenge #58 this week.  The challenge is to use the sketch for inspiration and incorporate flowers.  The papers are from K and Company's "Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl" and "Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy" pads. 

These cards are for church. I make cards to welcome the new babies to our church family.

Paper Variety Challenge Week 5

HI there.  I am sharing a card I made using the sketch from The Paper Variety week 5 challenge.   Isn't it a cute sketch?   I will be donating this card to the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

I used Me and My Big Ideas Stack "Oh What Fun" leftover from last year's Christmas layouts.

I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn's "Harold's ABC". 

The edges are inked with Peeled Paint Distress ink.

Noah's Ark card

Greetings.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge #63 this week.  I REALLY like this sketch and will use it again and again. 

I am making some cards to send to our teen helpers at church to thank them for their service and encourage them.  When we have 14 three year olds in a room, we need the extra set of hands and the teens are wonderful with the kids.  This week I wanted to make a more masculine card for one of our male teens.  We have several. 

I stamped the Ark on cream paper, colored it with watercolor pencils and cut it out. 

I made the sun with a large gem and that old MM wire that has been in my stash for years. 

 I added some Glossy Accents for some watery shine. 

I thought the jute string and colors really made the card more masculine.

Happy Halloween Card

This Halloween card will go to my niece in college (act surprised, Chloe).  The spider was cut on the Cricut from the Doodlecharms cartridge, brushed with Mod Podge and then sprinkled with flocking powder.  I ran him through the Xyron and "attached" him to his web with string.

Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #28

Today's card was inspired by the colors in this week's

Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #28. 

Originally, I was going to make the flowers yellow, but decided to take a different spin and stamp white flowers on a brown card. 

There are Versamark swirls in the background.

Caring Hearts Card Drive: Card 2

Hello.  Today I am sharing another clean and simple card I will donate to the Caring Hearts Card Drive.  I made four of these for the cause lickety-split! The stamp is from Stampin' Up's "God is Love" set.  I colored the bird with watercolor pencils, blended it and added a few gems for pop.  It says "Peace Be Unto You" under the bird.  My original one had a white tail and orange beak, but I felt it took away from the impact.  It screamed "tail!" and not "peace".

Carings Heart Card Drive: Card 1

Hello.  I am sharing a card I made for the Caring Hearts Card Drive organized by Vera Ling of Ling's Design Studio.  She is collecting Thanksgiving and Holiday Cards for men and women in nursing homes.  We hope to lift their spirits this holiday season and remind them that there are many people thinking of them!  Cards are due to Vera by November 15th if you'd like to play along.  Many wonderful companies are generously offering prizes. 

This is a very simple card using Stampin' Up's "God Is Love" set.

I paper pieced the little heart.  Simple, yet very poignant.
