JB: Christmas "tweet"

My cyber friend Amy created a sketch for the
Jingle Belle challenge and I wanted to play along.

I flipped Amy's sketch to put the sentiment up and the main image low, but then the card took its own direction.  The little birdie was getting lost on the black paper so I used the stitched journaling die to give it a place and just kept going....

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn "Chit Chat" stamps and dies, "Stitched Journaling" die, papers
Hero Arts: sentiment
Stampendous: Frontage stuff (first time using it)

1st Christmas card for 2013

Hello there!
Been a little quiet on the blog.
Kids are back in school, Christmas decor is all packed away, and I am caught up with the Card Drive for Addison.  As of today, I have received 244 cards!!

I have been having fun doing some scrapbooking. My layouts are hard to share b/c they always have pics of other people in them.  I finished my 12th page today (6 two page LOs).  I had started a few over the holiday break.

Sooooo, I took some time to make a card today.
This card features a new stamp I got for Christmas picked out by our older son and a new 6x6 pad I grabbed after Christmas for $1.79!   Yahoo!

I stamped the deer on the die cut and colored him with Copics.

With my own card Drive winding down, I saw that Winter Sims is having her annual Cards from the Heart Card Drive that collects Valentine's for hospitals, foster homes and special education groups (depends on how many are sent).  Check it out.  There are amazing prizes!  I KNOW that the cards that are received in a card drive are greatly appreciated and touch lives!  Check out the LINK for the details. I will be participating again this year.

Have a great day,
Kelly

The snowflakes were embossed with white powder.
The bunny was colored with Copics and has a dab of Perfect Pearls on his tail.

Saw the December Craft's Meow sketch and was immediately inspired to make some cards.
I just received the Bo Bunny "Rejoice" 6x6 pad
from the generous Brandi of the "Yankee Belle Stamper" and put it to use.
I  just love how these turned out!

The reindeer were colored with Copics and cut out.
They are raised with dimensional foam.

My little guy wanted to play in the tub so I decided to play across the hall in my room!

The gifts were stamped on Copic paper and cut out.
I stamped the ribbons from the set for all but 2.

Christmas Postcard

Hello.
This Christmas card theme was inspired by
this week's Jingle Belles challenge called "Going Postal".
I teamed up my "Tis the Season" set by Deasy Designs
with  Lawn Fawn's "You've Got Mail" and "On the Mend".

The patterned papers are MME's "Merry".
The cute net ribbon is from Ribbon Carousel.

I made the star the elf is holding with washi tape and a punch.
He was colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut out.

I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp: Put a Stamp On it Challenge!
I may have to make some more of these!
Thanks for looking,

Our main computer is down and I had to take the photo with my iphone so it's a bit blurry.

Christmas Card with EP

SO excited to find a Christmas challenge blog!
Thanks to Lauren Bergold for commenting on my blog.
I went to look at her blogs and found the Jingle Belles challenge
for Christmas cards all year long!

My card features Echo Park's Merry Christmas collection.
I cut the tree from Create-a-Critter cartridge at 3 1/2".
I loved this card by Jean Martin and decided to use a chipboard piece behind my tree.
It is popped in front of the Lacey Circle Spellbinders die cut.

The design is inspired by The Craft's Meow July Sketch:
I flipped it a bit and centered the image.

Supplies:
Papers: Echo Park, baby!
Stamps: Lawn Fawn's "Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum"
Inks: Memento brown and Vintage Photo distress
Other: TH tiny attacher, Hemptique string, gems

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Jingle Belles: red OR green, not both!
