First cards Arrived in the mail for the
Card Drive for Addison!!
See links below or click on Addison's picture in my sidebar to find out how to join in!!!
I was not able to participate in World Card Making Day on Saturday.
I went to downtown Cincinnati and did the 5K Color Run with my gorgeous niece, Chloe.
It was a tad cold (understatement) but I am proud to say I ran the whole thing!
I decided to do this two weeks ago which didn't give this 43 1/2 yr old chickie much time to train, but it was fine and I did not throw up
(came close at the end which had a slight incline which was rather cruel).
Before the race!
I am on the left.
Part of the crowd. They said there were 10,000!
The charity partner for the race was the Leukemia Society.
I said a few prayers for my friend Addison during the run
(and a few for myself to finish)
Post race. I ran through the color stations so I did not get too colorized.
My hat may actually inspire a card.
Had orange, pink and green splatters all over it that you can't see in this pic.
One guy stopped in front of me and rolled in the powder.
um... ok... I almost ran over the top of him!
This week we'll be preparing for our church's trunk or treat.
We've decided to be one of the cars this year and our family theme (I'll have a post later) has presented some crafty challenges.
I also want to get some cards made for a few card drives:
The Card Drive for Addison (my own drive) which you can read about HERE.
There are great prizes including a custom blog design and gift certificates to AWESOME online stores.
There is also the Caring Hearts Card Drive Vera Yates
has organized which also has prizes.
Thanks for all who have offered to make cards for little Addison and/or shared the drive with your crafty friends and posted the link on your blogs.
Means so much to me and the family will be so blessed!
Plenty of time to join the fun.
The drive goes until December 20th!!
