Birthday Butterfly

Browsed through challenge blogs last night while watching the Olympics
and designed a card inspired by a few.

The design is inspired by The Craft's Meow August Sketch.
The watercolor background colors were inspired by the latest Runway challenge photo.
I chose the colors from the dress (on my phone the third color looked more pumice,
but on the computer looks more green, go figure...) and loved the movement of it so
I chose a butterfly to represent that movement.

For the background panel, I stamped Concord, Pumice and Spiced Marmalade inks onto my mat, sprayed it with water and perfect Pearls and inked up my white cardstock.
LOVE the look!
I embossed the butterfly on patterned paper and embossed the sentiment on cardstock.

Stamps: Hero Arts (butterfly) and Craft's Meow (sentiment)
Inks: distress in concord, pumice, spiced marmalade

Fab use of the sketch and I love that butterfly. Great technique and use of distress inks ( I assume they are distress inks reading their names)
Lovely card!
