Basketball Cupcakes and Stand

Going a different direction today and sharing a little project
I made for my niece's graduation party.
I offered to make the cupcakes for the event and decided to make basketballs to represent the years she has played and her future games in college.

 Here's the final result.
I found a 3 tier cupcake stand by Wilton at Hobby Lobby.
I assembled it and took it the craft room to get it all gussied up for the event!

I cut 1" border strips out of black paper and then also used some leftover basketball border strips from Michael's by Recollections.  I think the letter stickers are from Hobby Lobby.
The front view.

The back view.
The stars were cut with a Sizzix die in my Cuttlebug.
I added a few gems here and there.

I saw this basketball cupcake on Pinterest.

I covered mine with orange icing (Wilton buttercream) and then
I dipped it in orange sprinkles.
The piping was done with Wilton Tip #5

I am entering this project into Simon Says Stamp: Anything but a Card challenge.

Strike up the fun: Bowling Party!

Sharing the goodies I made for our son's 5th birthday party with a bowling theme.

Here is the invite.
Most supplies from Hobby Lobby.
I put the stickers on white cardstock and cut them out to give a little dimension.

Here are the cupcakes we gave out at the bowling alley and the school party.
I ordered the candy mold on Amazon.
The red "stripe" on the pin was put on with a brush.

Here's the cake for the family party.
The sports ball cake pan is by Wilton.
I used the template HERE for the pin, enlarged, and traced it
with black icing before filling it in with the stars.
Forgot to cover the board... was a little messy the next day...
Please ignore the remote control mark on the blue icing in the upper right...
I was trying to catch the news about Peyton Manning and went to put the remote down..
OOPS... shhhhhhhhhhhh squished stars...

Next up, the goody bags.
Stickers are from Hobby Lobby.
Easy-peasy
They were torn up before leaving the bowling alley.
The lizards were a huge hit with everyone.

I made T-shirts for the kids with Wilton easy image Transfers from Michael's.
Same pin image from Family Fun was printed & cut out by hand.
I just typed the names and cut them out with a paper trimmer.
We had an even number of boys and girls so I used red for the girls and blue for the boys.

Can't believe our "baby" is 5.
He is kind, sweet, smart, funny, silly, sporty and ornery.
A classic boy.

Kitty Cupcakes... MEOW...

Made some cupcakes for the kids in our Bible study group.
Thought they looked fun.

Not too hard...

I used:
cupcakes
chocolate icing
eyeball candies
chocolate bars cut into small triangles for ears
pull and peel licorice for whiskers
ready-made icing for nose and mouth

Heard that a lot of kitties mysteriously lost their ears BEFORE snack time... hmmmmm

They were inspired by Bakerella's website.
Here's Bakerella's  version.  The kitty is also in the middle of this photo:

eek! Green Monster Cupcakes

OK, these aren't very scary!
For Alex's snack day at kindergarten, I usually make cookies or simple cupcakes with sprinkles, but I found these ADORABLE edible eye balls at Michael's and had to get them.
Alex wanted me to make the hairy monster cupcakes, but wanted green ones.
I use the Wilton Buttercream icing with tip # 233
I have been using that recipe for years. Yummy on sugar cookies too!

Here they are:

He said I could skip the mouth:
