Thankful 4 You

Today I am sharing a card I made for my teaching partner at church. We have spent the last year together with a bunch of adorable three-year-olds and will continue working together over the next year. I wanted to say "thanks" to her for all her help. My card is inspired by two challenges this week. The supplies were inspired by a Lawn Fawn challenge to incorporate the new "Bannerific" stamp set with American Crafts Thickers. The design is influenced by this week's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You. I flipped the sketch upside down for my card.

Supplies:
Papers, ribbon & stickers: American Crafts, "Backyard"
Number "4": American Crafts Thickers "Prancer" painted with Brown MM Paint
Stamps: Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific" and "Harold's ABCs"
Other: buttons, floss, brad, MM wire on caterpillar, google eye

Directions for Teacher Treats

I had several requests for the directions to make the teacher treats shown in my August 25, 2010 post. These would be cute to give out at Christmas too! The project is taken directly from Creating Keepsakes magazine, September 2010 issue by Jamie Ward.



Supplies:

• Cardstock: yellow, pink
• Aluminum foil
• Scoring tool (I used my Martha Stewart Scoreboard)
• pinking scissors
• scissors or paper trimmer
• hole punch
• adhesive (I used glue dots and Scotch Quick Dry)
• Rolos (one pack per gift)
• Hersey Kisses (need one piece per gift)
• embellishments (I used the George cart on the Cricut for the stars, Lawn Fawn "Harold's ABC stamps for the letters, a hole punch and ribbon)

1. Cut 3 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of yellow cardstock. Score lines lengthwise every 1/4"



2. Trim one short end with pinking scissors. Wrap cardstock around pack of Rolos, pinked end toward the bottom and adhere.



3. Wrap 3 1/2" X 3/8" piece of pink cardstock around the top end of the Rolos. Cut circle from pink cardstock same size as top of Rolos, to create eraser top. Adhere in place.

4. Adhere 3 1/5" X 3/8" piece of aluminum foil around the seam where the yellow and pink papers meet.

5. Adhere Hersey Kiss to bottom of Rolos for the pencil point.

6. Add embellishments, name tags, etc. I used my Lawn Fawn "Harold's ABC" set to stamp the names

Teacher Treats

It's back-to-school time. I made these cute little pencils for the boys' teachers. This project came straight out of Creating Keepsakes magazine September 2010 issue, page 68. A pack of rolos is wrapped with the scored yellow paper and the ends are Hersey kisses. Pinking scissors are used on the pencil tip end. The stars were cut from the Cricut. I used Lawn Fawn's "Harold's ABC" letter set to stamp the teachers' names on them.

Birthday Card

Greetings. This card coordinates with a composition book I posted here a couple days ago. I needed a b-day card and saw this cute one by Kristina Werner. It is pretty much the same as her card. It's a great design for using up scrap papers. I used the MME "Bloom and Grow" papers, circle punches, the MS butterfly punch, my Lawn Fawn "Harold's ABC" letter stamps, and my corner chomper. I love that I can spell out the entire sentiment with the "Harold's ABC" set. The flower on the inside is from a punch and the one on the front is cut from the Cricut "George" cart.

Cards For Kids Drive: Card #2

Good Morning. I am sharing another card I made for Cards for Kids posted yesterday. This one is more girlie. I use the Hero Arts "Friends Definition" stamp for the background of the flower and the Lawn Fawn "Harold's ABC" for the "hi". I used the Cuttlebug "Spots and Dots" folder and the "George" cricut cart for the big flower. I think that polka dot brad is from Bazzill. Bug is made out of circle punches, google eyes and MM wire.

This card is inspired by the Etsy Inspired Challenge and

the darling LoverDover's 50's style Lucy Apron!

Cards for Kids Blog Hop

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn Hearts Cards for Kids Drive. Card for Kids has been an on-going card drive for children who have been ill as well as their families. Card makers have sent thousands of cards to these families over that last several months and I am proud to participate in this drive once again. Many of these children have been hospitalized and have had multiple surgeries and the cards are sent to them and their families in hopes of giving them messages of love, support and prayer.

Girly Composition Book

Greetings!

I am sharing a composition book that I altered using MME's "Bloom and Grow" line I picked up at Hobby Lobby. This book is for a little girl's 5th birthday. I used my favorite alphabet stamp set by Lawn Fawn called "Harold's ABC" to make the word "book" and my cricut for the rest. I used the "George" cart for the flowers and "Storybook" for the butterfly and name. Then of course, every girl needs bling! It is all sealed with mod podge. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

For the MVP

Greetings! I am deep in a composition book project, but wanted to get a post up for August! I'll post the new book as soon as it is finished.

This is a more masculine card I sent for Father's Day. The design is inspired by Amy Sheffer from her June 8, 2010 post on her blog, Pickled Paper Designs". I bought this We R Memory Keepers "MVP" stack to use for our son's 2nd birthday scrapbook layouts and had a lot left. Used the star folder with the Cuttlebug, Martha Stewart "loops" punch, gems and twine. I cut the star from the "George" Cricut cart several times and layered them on top of each other to get a chipboard look and feel. Thanks for looking and have a great day! -Kelly
