You Are a Blessing

You are a Blessing.
Those are powerful words as it means that you have touched someone's life in a special way.  Since I had the lunch bags out from THIS project, I decided to get a head start on some teacher treats for Thanksgiving.  I hadn't planned on giving them something, but half-off Hersey kisses and the lunch bags gave me the inspiration.  And then came the sentiment... I saw it on a Lawn Fawn set and it's been in my mind ever since.  Just such a nice thing to say so I stamped it out with another Lawn Fawn alpha set.  I stamped the leaves and colored them with 4 different watercolor pencils and then blended them with a blender pen.  It is hard to see but one of the leaves on the card and the envelope have glitter on them and the middle one on the card is popped with dimensional foam.  I made three sets (bag, card and envelope) as teacher gifts.

Treat Bags for Church

Hi There.  Thought I'd share some the little bags I made for my preschool class at church.  They were very quick to make. I just dug through my drawer of scraps for the papers and ribbons.  Yarn is a real cheap way to close to top too.  I found the poem online, copied it, and then highlighted certain words.  I threw in a few pumpkin candies to go with the theme.

Submitted to:
Cupcake Craft Challenge #114:   Sweet Treats with a Twist
Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #31: black, white and orange colors

Supplies:
Stamp:  Stampin' Up
Inks:  Memento Black, Distress Spiced Marmalade

Thank You card for male

Happy Friday!  Today's card is a "thank you" for a male.  It looked very much like a sympathy card after I finished the stamping so a quick trip to HL helped cure that with the addition of the colored papers.  I think this one will be headed to one of the storytellers at church in the preschool department.  The kids love his ventriloquist act with "Arnold" who shares God's messages in such a humorous and entertaining manner.

The fall colors were inspired by  City Crafter Challenge sponsored by the Pixie Dust Paperie

The overlapping of the trees was inspired by the weave in the Paper Variety challenge week 7 sponsored by Apron Strings Designs

Supplies:
Inks:  Stampin' Up in baroque burgundy, old olive, close to cocoa, ruby red, more mustard, and really rust; Distress in vintage photo, antique linen, peeled paint and weathered wood.
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn "thank you" and tree???? no name and bought about 7 yrs ago...
Other: Stickles in red, Tim Holtz edge distresser

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a happy and SAFE Halloween!  -Kelly
