Card Drive for Grayson

Hi. Sharing a card I made for Grayson.
You can read about the card drive for him and his brother HERE.

This card features papers and stickers from Echo Park's "Little Boy" collection.
The Bingo "card" was cut from a Simple Stories paper.

Winter Card

Today I have a winter card.
I used the prompts from Merry Monday down the right side (snow, white, ribbon).

I embossed white snowflakes on the front panel, added a couple strips of paper at the bottom and smeared Liquid Pearls on top.

I colored the bunny with Copics and cut him out, removing the stamped scarf.
I added the twine for texture and a punch of color.  I tried to mimic the flow of the original scarf securing the twine with Glossy Accents.

 Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn's "Frosties" and "Winter Bunny"
snowflakes ribbon from Brandi (THANKS)
Other: twine, embossing powder

Cards from the Heart Drive

Winter is hosting her annual Cards from the Heart card drive for children in hospitals.
See the information HERE on her blog.
Timing is running out and she has received fewer cards than last year.
If you have a bit of time the next couple days, maybe you can make a few?

Here's a couple I sent...

Koala is from "Create a Critter" cartridge.

This one features Echo Park paper.
Blogger is so blurry.  There's glossy accents on the "hello" letters and the arrow.
The arrow is a die by MFT "Lead the Way"

I am linking these cards up to the Purple Onion blog
who is one of the sponsors for the drive.

Card Drive for Addison: Prize Winners

Hello Everyone.
First, I want to thank all the people who made cards (about 250)
or prayed for the Henderson Family.
It is a long journey they will face for almost ANOTHER two years.
You can continue to follow their journey on their Caring Bridges Web page.

Addison's Mom sent me this photo.
SO many more cards to come from you guys!

Photo: The wall of cards. Thank you so much for organizing the card drive for our family. All three girls have loved their cards. Thank you to all who have taken the time to make theae special cards and send to us.

Before I share the winners, I want to thank a few people.

To Karen Baker of the Bald Dragonfly, thank you so much for helping me get this card drive off the ground.  I describe my blog as "small potatoes" and through your blog many people saw the drive, sent cards, and even shared it too!  In addition to making cards, Karen also made the badge for the drive that is displayed on many blogs.  Karen donated a prize as well, a custom blog design for a very LUCKY person!

To Jennifer McGuire who has donated an online card class and promoted the drive.
We'll never know how many people sent cards after seeing your post!

To Kelly-Marie Alvarez and the Lawn Fawn company, I thank you for encouraging me to start this blog a couple years ago which without it, the drive probably would not have even been on my radar.  I thank you for sharing the drive on the company blog and donating a prize for the drive.  I received many cards with Lawn Fawn products that will certainly bring joy to the girls!

To Studio Calico, I thank you for your generous prize and your faithful follower Betsy Gourley for sharing the drive in the Studio Calico community.

To Amy Tsuruta, you've been such a great cheerleader for Addison and her family through your cards and repeated posts.  Thanks for keeping the momentum alive.

To the anonymous member of the Two Peas in a Bucket Online Community, I thank you again for the Cherry on Top prize.

To Sharon Reinhart of Reinhart Designs for sending two signed books written by her for a prize too!  This was a total surprise when it came in the mail!  Thank you so much!

To all the wonderful card makers, thank you so much for the adorable, beautiful and inspiring cards from all across the country.  Your words of encouragement, the JOKES for the girls and the LOVE that comes from each and every card is so appreciated.

About 250 cards were donated.
This is an estimate because many people did not want to be included in the drawing.
 Those cards were not "inventoried".

The winners are listed below.
I have contacted them via email!

$25 Gift Certificate for Simon Says Stamp: Melissa Shea
$25 Gift Certificate for Two Peas in a Bucket: Maria McClure
$25 Gift Certificate for A Cherry on Top: Stacy Buller

$25 Gift Certificate to Lawn Fawn: Maria Lovell
$25 gift certificate to Studio Calico:Charlene Kochensparger

CD10 and CFC86: follow your dreams...

Hi everyone.
I am still around.
I am taking a graduate class this spring and that is keeping me very busy.
The boys are both playing basketball too and I am coaching one of the teams.

I will be announcing winners for the Card Drive for Addison soon.
Just waiting to hear back from some sponsors to coordinate the prizes.
I am sure CHA has them very busy still.
In the meantime, I needed a birthday card for a little girl
so I used the 10 minute craft dash  for the colors to get the juices flowing.
The long card is inspired by the current CAS-ual Friday challenge #86: long and short.

This card took 9:30:9
Most of the time was spent coloring.
I knocked over the trash can  lunging across the room to grab a pink gem.
I wonder what comedic acts are performed in the making of other people's cards...

Added Glossy Accents to the bike.

1st Christmas card for 2013

Hello there!
Been a little quiet on the blog.
Kids are back in school, Christmas decor is all packed away, and I am caught up with the Card Drive for Addison.  As of today, I have received 244 cards!!

I have been having fun doing some scrapbooking. My layouts are hard to share b/c they always have pics of other people in them.  I finished my 12th page today (6 two page LOs).  I had started a few over the holiday break.

Sooooo, I took some time to make a card today.
This card features a new stamp I got for Christmas picked out by our older son and a new 6x6 pad I grabbed after Christmas for $1.79!   Yahoo!

I stamped the deer on the die cut and colored him with Copics.

Paper: Recollections "Festivus"
Stamps: Hero Arts

With my own card Drive winding down, I saw that Winter Sims is having her annual Cards from the Heart Card Drive that collects Valentine's for hospitals, foster homes and special education groups (depends on how many are sent).  Check it out.  There are amazing prizes!  I KNOW that the cards that are received in a card drive are greatly appreciated and touch lives!  Check out the LINK for the details. I will be participating again this year.

Have a great day,
Kelly
