Decorated Bags

Here's a couple more bags I decorated for the holiday.
The top bag features stamps by Deasy Designs, Talk Bubble dies by Simon Says Stamp,
and sentiment by Hero Arts.

Stickles on the nose and Liquid Pearls on the snow:

This was a quick bag made with paper from MaMBI
and sentiment by Deasy Designs.

I am entering the bags into Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes.

Thank for visiting.  I hope you had a great holiday.
I can hear the boys in the other room enjoying their Legos.
It was a Lego Heavy Christmas!

Keep little Addison in your prayers.
She went back into the hospital Christmas Night.
Please postmark cards for her by Dec. 30

Snowman Gift Bag

I needed to decorate a bag for a gift so I decided to set the timer and play along
with the Ten Minute Craft Dash and CAS-ual Fridays #83.

I precut the paper and started the timer.
I stamped the snowman and colored parts with Copics and adhered it to the bag.
I added the flocking to the hat and scarf and shiny fabric paint on the eyes
A dab of Stickles on the snow gives added some fun!

This project took 9:02.
I ended up cutting the talk bubble twice b/c I smudged the first one
so that added a but more time to this quick project.

Sledding Bunny!

Back today with another gift card holder.
This one features Lawn Fawn's "Winter Bunny" and Frosties".
The snowflakes were embossed with white powder.
The bunny was colored with Copics and has a dab of Perfect Pearls on his tail.
Bit of Stickles on the snow.

The inside has a pocket for the gift card.
I *think* that is a Hero Arts sentiment.

Update: Card Drive for Addison

update 12/2012: Addison was admitted into the hospital today with a fever.  She will be there a couple of days, missing her school Christmas party.  Please pray for healing as she battles this dangerous fever. You can read the parents' journey on their Caring Bridges pages linked below.
Thank you.

The CARD DRIVE for ADDISON is ending soon.
Please have all cards postmarked by December 30.

Addison's hair was coming out quickly last week so she decided
to shave her head.  Daddy shaved his too.
Please continue your prayers and positive thoughts for the family.
You can read about their journey on their Caring Bridges pages.

I have a couple boxes of cards to inventory, but I am happy and
touched to report I have received 215+ cards for the family!
I shipped one box to them and will deliver the rest soon.

Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow with projects.

On a personal note, my little guy's Kindergarten concert was this morning.
Each child was given the microphone and had the opportunity to say what makes Christmas special for him/her.  Unprompted, my son shared that "Jesus being born" was what made Christmas special for him.  Such a great testimony for me as I feel bogged down by all the crafty things, the treats, the cards, etc. that it is important to remember MY reason for the season and pause to celebrate the gift of Jesus.

God Bless you all as you finish up all of
your holiday projects with a happy heart.

44 today, oh my!

Greetings.
I am up to my eyeballs in Buckeyes.
I am making 8 batches this year compared to last year's 6.
They will be bagged up for DH's coworkers and other friends and family members.
I had planned to decorated Kraft bags, but there's just no time.
I have gift card holders to make too that I will eventually share.

I am 44 years old today.
I am so truly blessed.
Thanks to my cyber friends for all fun and inspiration!

Of course I need to share a card.
I made these for a lady at church to give to her coworkers.
Idea is from Pinterest.
"Thanks" was stamped using Quinn's ABCs from Lawn Fawn.
The adorable paper is Snap by Simple Stories
The bottom sentiment was computer generated.

Thanks a Latte

I made a pocket on the inside to hold the gift card.
That stamp is by Deasy Designs.

I am entering this set into Simon Says Stamp: favorites (Lawn Fawn stamp)

I wanna be a Ninja!

Here's a birthday card I made for a 6 year old boy.
The theme of the party was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
(singing the theme song in your head, aren't ya?).
I found this cute turtle on the Create-a-Critter cartridge and decided to
turn him into a ninja to fit the party theme.
The boy was the orange one for Halloween so that led the way for the color scheme.

Other Supplies:
Brads for eyes,
folded ribbon for headband
net ribbon from Ribbon Carousel
striped paper by Echo park

I am entering this card into the NEW Seize the Birthday challenge site.

My Card Drive for Addison is ending this month.
See HERE for details.
GREAT prizes!!

Christmas cards with Bo Bunny

Saw the December Craft's Meow sketch and was immediately inspired to make some cards.
I just received the Bo Bunny "Rejoice" 6x6 pad
from the generous Brandi of the "Yankee Belle Stamper" and put it to use.
I  just love how these turned out!

The reindeer were colored with Copics and cut out.
They are raised with dimensional foam.
