Maybe It will be cool to have little notes from mommy in his lunch next year...

Thank You Card Featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps

Here's a "thank you" card for A's kindergarten teacher for the end of year gift.
I still need to decorate the bag.

This picture shows the tires a little better.
I think I bought that embossing pen 8 years ago and have just started using it!

The inside.  Flowers from "Cruising Through Life" set and grass from "Critters in the Burbs".

Details:
  • Stamped bicycle image on the patterned paper and a few others to cut
  • Paper pieced the bike frame, seat, and basket
  • Colored the tire black, then used an embossing pen & heat embossed it with black
  • The hearts were stamped, colored, some glittered and some have glossy accents.  There's a little masking in the basket of hearts.
  • The blue panel was embossed and distressed on the edges
  • The top panel is raised with dimensional foam
  • I am VERY happy with the results.  One of my all-time favorites!

The design was inspired by this Sketch by Lucy Abrams from the Lily Pad Cards Challenge:

Challenges:
Two Peas in a Bucket:  Lawn Fawn Vendor Challenge
Wee Memories #57: Stamp It (2nd entry) sponsored by Market Street Stamps
Lily Pad Cards Challenge: Sketch "Lucy's Lovely Lines" sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Decorated Bag & Teacher gift

Hi.
I am sharing a bag I decorated for our little guy's preschool teacher.
She has been just so sweet and loving towards our little guy as well as others and it is kinda sad to see him move on from "Miss Julie".  This is a little end-of-the-year gift for her.
Inside the bag is an insulated cup with her first initial, lip gloss with SPF, sunscreen, a pack of tissues and some small drink flavor packs all to wish her a happy summer!

I inked up the front of the bag with Linen first to see how the ink would do and then added the other colors.  It "stuck" to the fold on the front, but I covered that part with my handmade grass.  This also added some texture to the front.
I stamped the Lawn Fawn images on different Basic Grey papers and cut them out.  I added some Stickles and Liquid Pearls here and there for some fun.

I thought the bag would be more reusable with "thank you" on the
front vs. a happy summer theme.

What's inside:

Christmas/Winter card in May??

Howdy.
Inspired by FOUR different challenges, I created the Christmas card below.
I finished a layout using the Basic Grey Jovial line so figured I use some of the scraps and get a "jump" on the holidays.

The bunny was stamped several times on Kraft (sled), white (body),
cream (background) and BG stripe (scarf).
The bunny was paper pieced, flocked and given a dollop of liquid pearl on the tail.
The sled was pieced also.

I really love how this card turned out.
I love the layering in the sketch which highlights the beautiful patterns
in this BG line of papers.  I have trouble layering and the sketch REALLY did the work!
I opted for the charm saying "wonderful" in case I decide to use it as a birthday card later...

Challenges for this project:

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Grey "Jovial" and cardstock from stash
Stamp:  "Winter Bunny" by Lawn Fawn
Ink:  Memento
Other: Jute twine, charm from Tim Holtz. flocking powder, Liquid Pearls by Ranger

Lawnscaping & Cupcake Craft: Party/C

Hi there!
Today's project is a birthday party invitation I made for our son's upcoming 6th birthday.
He had a Lightning McQueen birthday when he was four, but wants the same theme again.
He was probably inspired by the new movie coming out in June!
He wants a cake with a desert scene and cars.
I just used some car stickers from my stash vs buy Lightning McQueen ones.

I am entering it into the Lawnscaping Challenge: Let's Party
The banner is from Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific" and "Harold's ABC"

I am also entering this into the Cupcake Craft Challenge:  Begins with "C".
I have a Circle card with a Car!

Supplies:
Stamps:  LF "Bannerific" and "Harold's ABC"
Ink: Memento
Paper: HL
Stickers: HL or M's

Party On!
